This paper reviews the recent achievements in the field of the heterogenization of homogeneous chemical catalysts onto ion-exchange resins. The main focus will be on those applications for which the recycling of the catalyst has been demonstrated. This matter has been partially reviewed up to the end of 2004. The present manuscript covers the most significant papers that appeared in the literature from January 2005 to April 2008. Some additional aspects are also taken into account, including reference to previous but unreviewed works. Applications will be described according to the reaction involved, irrespective of the nature of the supported metal or the type of the resin used.
